Eddie Davis III is the son of two local artists. Born and raised in Rochester, he holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Sculpture from Rochester Institute of Technology. Eddie has spent over two decades making and teaching art, starting as a teaching assistant at the Creative Workshop in 2001!
Eddie tells us:
During the Pandemic I began making large scale plant sculptures in my mother’s garden. We have collaborated on several thus far: our first was a Llama using natural grasses; the next was an edible ‘Veggie-Bull.’ The latest one is called ‘Beastie.’
