Reciprocal Organizations of Associated Museums (ROAM) is a network that connects international, world-class institutions by providing members admission access at partnering museums.

Contributing Memberships

Contributing memberships at the Memorial Art Gallery provide vital support for exhibitions, educational programs, and the preservation of the museum’s collection, ensuring that art remains accessible and inspiring for all. These memberships also help fund initiatives that expand community access, including free and discounted admission opportunities, so that individuals of all backgrounds can experience the power of art.

Contributing levels include all Family/Grandparent benefits plus Reciprocal benefits through ESMRP, ROAM, and NARM.

Director’s Circle

The Director’s Circle is a group of art enthusiasts devoted to supporting the Memorial Art Gallery’s innovative exhibitions and programs. Annual membership at this leadership level is essential to the vitality of our museum.

Director’s Circle memberships are philanthropic, enabling MAG to do new research, publish original scholarship, and mount stunning exhibitions that offer something for everyone—from familiar masters like Monet to pioneering media artists like Isaac Julien.

Director’s Circle members receive all benefits from the Supporter level, plus:

  • Invitations to two annual Director’s Circle lectures
  • Private docent-led tour of the museum (by appointment)
  • Acknowledgement in the Vanden Brul Pavilion
  • Dual membership in the George Eastman Circle with a five-year pledge of $1,750 annually*

Winslow Homer Society: $1,750

Includes all Director’s Circle membership benefits.

Georgia O’Keeffe Society: $3,500

Includes all Winslow Homer Society benefits, and:

Emily Sibley Watson Society: $10,000

Includes all Claude Monet Society benefits, and:

  • An opportunity to attend a special presentation for a new acquisition for MAG’s collection

*The Director’s Circle and the George Eastman Circle recognize donors who support the Memorial Art Gallery with an annual gift of $1,750, or more, as members of both leadership giving societies. The benefits of this dual membership are remarkable, and are listed under each membership level on this page.

MAG Council Membership

The MAG Council is a volunteer fundraising organization whose many projects and gifts sustain the museum and enrich our members and our community.

All MAG Council members must be current paid members of the Memorial Art Gallery. MAG Council memberships are valid for a one-year term, from September–August.

Both membership levels include:

  • Regular programs: Coffee/Social hours and Art-related presentations
  • Inclusion in membership directory
  • Invitations to attend Docent presentations
  • Art related travel opportunities
  • Opportunity to volunteer at fundraisers and contribute to the growth of the MAG community

Active: $70

Membership applies to one adult. Active members shall support the MAG Council by serving on committees and volunteering to work on fundraisers and other activities and are encouraged to attend regular meetings and programs. In addition, all active members are expected to volunteer for Art & Treasures during the year-long preparations as many volunteer opportunities will be made available.

Sustainer: $85

Membership applies to one adult. Sustaining members are those MAG members who are unable to participate in MAG Council volunteer opportunities and activities but would like to support the MAG Council. Sustaining members retain all of the privileges of MAG Council membership at the Sustaining Member dues rate and are welcome to volunteer and attend all activities.
