This exhibition showcases David Z. Friedberg’s recent generous gift to MAG of his collection of late 19th- and early 20th-century prints. Many are by the innovative French printmaker Félix Buhot, who combined multiple techniques in a single print. The collection reflects Dr. Friedberg’s personal taste and interests and includes landscapes, cityscapes, and domestic scenes.
shown: Félix Buhot, The Place des Martyrs and the Jailhouse Tavern, 1885, etching, drypoint, aquatint, and roulette on paper and Alexandre Lunois, Spanish Woman Putting On her Shoe, n.d., color lithograph.
