Going for Baroque is a weekly series of mini-recitals. It is offered each Sunday at 1:30 pm and again at 3 pm. It offers the opportunity for students from the Eastman School of Music to perform alongside professional musicians on Eastman School of Music’s spectacular Italian Baroque Organ on the second floor of the museum. The 25-minute mini-recital is included with museum admission.
Owned by the Eastman School of Music, the fully restored Italian Baroque organ is the only full-size antique Italian organ in North America. The organ is the centerpiece of an installation that highlights more than 30 major Baroque-period paintings and sculptures.
