All proceeds from MAG’s annual fundraising gala enable us to bring the experience of the arts to the region’s schoolchildren. Funds raised help to broaden access and diversify our audience through programs that engage students in a series of curriculum-based, hands-on and in-gallery experiences like the MAG-Rochester City School District Expanded Learning Collaboration.

An Artists’ Affair: Art Off the Walls is a lively, delightful, and fast-paced gala. The evening begins with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a preview of the hundreds of artworks that were kindly donated to this event in support. Guests enjoy a sit down dinner, lively cash call, and thrilling live auction of Isaac Julien’s J. P. Ball’s Photographic Studio, Douglass/Apparatus, from Lessons of the Hour—Frederick Douglass. Alongside coffee and dessert is the grand finale, “Art Off the Walls”, where attendees are called at random to take home a new-to-them work of art. Happy guests depart with smiles on their faces, artwork in their hands, and the honor of knowing they’ve supported a good cause. An evening not to be missed!
