Join renowned muralist Sarah C. Rutherford and the MAG Council for a fascinating half-day bus tour exploring some of her vibrant public murals throughout Rochester.

Sarah Rutherford is a muralist, educator, and interdisciplinary artist based in Rochester, New York. She has earned national and international recognition for her large-scale public murals, each created in close collaboration with the communities and individuals they represent. Best known for her acclaimed Her Voice Carries project; Sarah is a passionate advocate for women and a powerful example of how public art can inspire meaningful change. Her work encourages women to use their voices to strengthen communities and create positive impact.

Travel with Sarah as she shares the stories behind her murals, discussing the inspiration, community partnerships, creative process, and techniques involved in bringing each work to life. This unique opportunity offers an insider’s perspective on Rochester’s public art and the people and stories that inspired it.

Please meet the bus near Public Provisions at the Public Market at 12:45 pm. Participants are invited to gather for lunch on their own at Public Provisions beginning at 11:30 am before boarding the bus.

Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
