Sarah C. Rutherford: Art as Advocate

Sarah C. Rutherford, a dedicated muralist, illustrator, and community advocate, will present an overview of her work. She is recognized for her contributions to the “Her Voice Carries” project, which featured her mural installation titled “Prelude,” displayed in the Hurlbut Gallery at MAG from 2017 to 2019. This project highlights the efforts of five local women committed to fostering safe and stable community environments.

Additionally, she will discuss her advocacy efforts for victims of domestic abuse and share insights about her collaboration with Willow, a domestic violence service provider, emphasizing the positive outcomes resulting from their partnership.

Please arrive early to check-in. The Program will begin at 11:00 am.
