Seven of the eight cash awards totaling more than $5,000 were presented to artists at the June 15th members’ opening of the 66th Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition. The show, which is presented every two years, opened to the public on June 16th at the Memorial Art Gallery and remains on view through September 15th.

Six of the awards, including the MAG’s Award of Excellence, a $1,500 cash award, were chosen by this year’s juror, Marilyn Zapf, the assistant director and curator at the Center for Craft. The final award, the Harris Popular Vote Award, will be announced July 3rd; given in memory of Dr. and Mrs. Manville S. Harris, this award is presented to the artist whose work receives the most votes from visitors during the first two weeks of the exhibition.
