Basketry, ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, leather, wood, and wearables. For two-plus decades, the Gallery Council’s Fine Craft Show & Sale has featured one-of-a-kind, limited-edition work by master craft artists who regularly participate in the nation’s most prestigious shows.

The Show & Sale takes place Saturday, October 21st, from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, October 22nd, from 11 am to 5 pm. Tickets are $10 for MAG Members and $12 for Not-Yet-Members. Children twelve and under are free.

This exciting weekend also features an opening party on Friday, October 20th,  from 6 to 9 pm. From 6-7 pm, award-winning ceramic artist and educator Paul S. Briggs will give a talk in MAG’s auditorium. He has two active bodies of work: abstract, organic, pinch-formed vessels and highly contemplative slab-built sculptures exploring issues around social justice. This fall, Briggs returned to Alfred University as an assistant professor of Ceramic Art. Access to the show and sale will begin after the lecture, from 7-9 pm, Friday evening. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy live music, mingle with the artists, and have the first chance to purchase their fine craft pieces before the show opens to the public while partaking in complimentary hors-d’oeuvres and a cash bar. General tickets are $60, or purchase a patron ticket for $120, which includes one drink ticket and your name in the program if purchased by October 16th.  For more information and to purchase tickets, visit our website.
