At the heart of nearly every work of art is change, whether it is the transformation of the material itself or the revelation of a new aspect or idea. Each of the more than 30 works in this encyclopedic exhibition invites the viewer to discover that which is transformed or revealed by the artist. The works, all from MAG’s extensive collection of drawings and prints, range from a 16th-century woodcut by the Dutch artist Goltzius to an innovative solarplate etching by a contemporary master printmaker.
