Have you ever seen a gigantic gummy bear, a massive mouse, or a speedy snail? Here’s your chance to create them! This week, opposites will attract like magnets as we shrink, enlarge, rip, mend, speed up, slow down, lighten, and shade to create artworks with exaggerated contradictions. Campers will spend part of each day exploring clay. They’ll mold imaginative sculptures and useful objects using hand-building techniques, then glaze and paint their pieces. The week will end with an art show on Friday in MAG’s Vanden Brul Pavilion, where families can view campers’ creations. All art materials are included.
All materials provided.
Instruction begins at 9:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm, but you may drop off your child as early as 8:30 am. After-care is available between 4:00 and 5:30 pm for an additional fee.
Registration for this program starts on Monday, December 29, at 10:00 am for MAG Members, and Monday, January 5, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Friday, July 24, at 9:00 am.
Programs with inadequate enrollment are cancelled one week before the first meeting. We will attempt to contact you via email to find an alternative program or to refund your registration fee.
