It is often said that people in medieval works of art look a little off. There are a lot of images of people dying in gruesome and gory ways, freaky creatures and cats, and an assortment of dismembered body parts. On this MAGsocial DeTOUR℠, we are teaming up with Anna Siebach-Larsen, Ph.D., from Rare Books, Special Collections, and Preservation at the University of Rochester, as she answers all of our burning questions re: people being on fire, skeletons dancing their limbs off, spooky snakes, swords and more. Join us as we wander around the museum and learn about the past!

To submit a request for ASL interpretation, please email access@mag.rochester.edu at least two weeks before the tour.

For questions about this event, please contact MAG Engagement Manager Jessica Gasbarre at jgasbarre@mag.rochester.edu. Ticket sales end on Thursday, September 11, at 6:15 pm. Ticket includes DeTOUR℠ and museum admission.
