Date: Thursday, July 10, 1:30 pm4:30 pm

Location: Adams Gallery

Join MAG teaching artist Sarah Hart for a rare behind-the-scenes look at the artistic process. On select Thursdays this summer, Sarah will be live painting in the Adams Gallery of European Art, on the second floor of the museum as she copies Butter and Bread (c. 1890s) by Albert Neuhuys: a richly detailed work featuring four figures in natural light. Copying is a time-honored technique that allows artists to study composition, color, and technique directly from the masters. For Sarah, it’s like getting a lesson from Neuhuys himself. Stop by to witness this live painting in action, a unique experience for art lovers of all ages.
