Marjorie B. Searl (1947 – 2024) began working in MAG’s education department in 1987. She served as Curator of American Art from 1995-1999 and Chief Curator from 1999-2013. Through the significant artworks she added to the collection, exhibitions she organized, and mentorship of staff, she had a profound impact on MAG, including her instrumental work on Phase 1 of the Centennial Sculpture Park.
