From ancient legends to popular superheroes of today, brave, resilient characters can be found in drawings, paintings, and cartoons. Children in this class will apply their imaginations to exciting stories from mythology and true tales of bravery from the past and present. Art projects will include a colorful pop-up story mural, a scroll map of a challenging heroic journey, a vibrant comic book story, and more. Materials will include color pencils, oil pastels, markers, paint, watercolors, and collage. This class will include several trips into the gallery to draw inspiration from artwork from around the world.

Registration Information

Registration for this program starts on Monday, August 18, at 10:00 am for MAG Members, and Monday, August 25, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Thursday, September 25, at 11:00 am.

Programs with inadequate enrollment are cancelled one week before the first meeting. We will attempt to contact you via email to find an alternative program or to refund your registration fee.
