This course introduces new students to the basics of the potter’s wheel—how to wedge clay, center, throw cylinders, trim, and glaze. Continuing students will build skills by learning how to make bowls and plates. Your teacher will demonstrate and give you hands-on help when needed. Students benefit from repeating this course. Please bring an old kitchen-size towel you don’t mind getting dirty with you.

Registration Information

Registration for this program starts on Monday, March 10, at 10:00 am for MAG Members, and Monday, March 17, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Thursday, April 24, at 1:30 pm.

Programs with inadequate enrollment are cancelled one week before the first meeting. We will attempt to contact you via email to find an alternative program or to refund your registration fee.
