Almost any art form can also be a form of meditation. Some arts have been developed specifically to aid the practitioner in clearing the mind, calming the body, or learning to let go. In this introduction to meditative arts from around the world, local artist and Chaplain Katie Jo Suddaby will teach you the techniques needed to transform your artmaking into a meditation practice. You’ll also learn several ancient forms of artmaking that make it easier to start a meditative practice of your own (especially if you are usually a person who has trouble slowing down).

Registration Information

Registration for this program starts on Monday, August 18, at 10:00 am for MAG Members, and Monday, August 25, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Tuesday, October 28, at 6:00 pm.

Programs with inadequate enrollment are cancelled one week before the first meeting. We will attempt to contact you via email to find an alternative program or to refund your registration fee.
