Danielle Lavell

Danielle Lavell is a lifelong museum educator from the central coast of California. After spending her childhood learning and working at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, she attended UCLA and received a BA in Art History and Mathematics. Danielle then completed graduate school at New York University, earning an MA in Museum Studies focusing on education and museum-based preschools. In 2016, she moved back to California and joined the Bay Area Discovery Museum. There, she served as a teacher for their on-site preschool during the school year and coordinated camps and classes throughout the summer. She moved to Rochester in 2019, continuing her career in museums at the RMSC (Rochester Museum & Science Center). Danielle is passionate about hands-on learning and loves empowering children of all ages through education. She is looking forward to her first summer working at the Creative Workshop!
