The Creative workshop offers an artful birthday party program (designed for children and families.) Our parties are customized and planned in collaboration with each family and are held on weekends.
This is a perk for MAG members at the Family/Grandparent level and above. Please see these basic details and call 585-276-8956 or email creativeworkshop@mag.rochester.edu to get your party on the books.
We provide:
- An art teacher/party hostess or host
- All materials and a creative art project & (if requested) a visit to the museum. Activity is age appropriate for birthday child and always creative (and sometimes silly, too)
- Fun party themes include mini lessons in cartooning, watercolor painting and colorful collaged paper people
- Passes for a day-of-party visit to the museum
- A fully accessible setting within a friendly art school
We can:
- Plan parties 30 days out (we call it “booking” a party)
- Offer a party for up to 12 children for $260 (more children cost a little more)
- Provide a simple email-able invitation to the party family to email or print out as you wish
- Provide food through our in-house restaurant and caterer, Brown Hound Downtown
We cannot:
- Accept day-of cancellations
- Plan parties without a deposit of $50 when the party is ‘booked’
- Have children’s parties in our ceramics studio (sorry)
