The Creative Workshop at the Memorial Art Gallery is happy to host hands-on art-making birthday parties for children ages 4–12 in our classroom studios. Birthday parties are a perk for MAG members at the Family/Grandparent level and above.

Scheduling
Birthday parties may be scheduled on Sundays from 12–2 pm or 1–3 pm with at least three weeks in advance.
Pricing
- Creative Workshop Birthday Parties cost $300 for up to twelve guests. Each additional guest is $20 per person; the maximum party size is sixteen guests.
- A $150 deposit is due at the time of booking.
- There is a $50 cancellation fee.
What’s Included?
- Art-Making Activities: A Creative Workshop teaching artist will teach art-making activities and projects for one hour. All materials are provided.
- Gallery Visit: All parties include an inspirational visit to the MAG galleries to see the collections! (Chaperones and any grown-ups sticking around during the party will also be given access to the Gallery on the day of the party.)
- “Party” Time: We plan on an hour for you and your guests to party. Turn on some tunes, eat food, open gifts, and cut the cake!
Please note: Party attendees will eat in a Creative Workshop classroom. The Creative Workshop does NOT provide food, but you are welcome to bring food in (pizza, cake, you name it!). We ask that any food brought in be peanut-free and easy to clean.
Party Theme
We are happy to work with you to develop a theme for the party. We LOVE to plan a party based on our current exhibitions, a favorite piece of artwork, or a type of artwork in our collection!
Please note: Currently, we cannot offer ceramic birthday parties or projects involving clay.
