SUMMARY:Outdoor Watercolor Sketchbook (1SU26)
DESCRIPTION:August 25–29\, 20261 week\, Tuesday–Saturday \nTaught by: Laurence E. Keefe \nSketchbooks are crucial tools for serious artists. Participants in this week-long workshop learn to use a small sketchbook to explore their personal vision and develop ideas for their own paintings. Working in an informal outdoor setting and using pen and watercolor washes with a group of fellow artists\, you will receive individual support from a skilled instructor. Each day\, we meet at a scenic local venue and start by explaining one aspect of watercolor painting\, such as washes\, using value\, etc.\, then you pick the subject that stimulates your creativity. Lots of social support\, ideas\, suggestions\, and help are available. You will leave with a collection of images that you can later develop into paintings that express your vision. \nMaterials\nStudents need to purchase materials for this class. \nSee the materials lists for further information. \nRegistration Information\nRegistration for this program starts on Monday\, June 15\, at 10:00 am for MAG Members\, and Monday\, June 22\, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Sunday\, August 23\, at 9:30 am. \nPrograms with inadequate enrollment are canceled one week before the first meeting. We will attempt to contact you via email to find an alternative program or to refund your registration fee. \nLearn more about classes in the Creative Workshop\, including information about parking and the refund and cancellation policies.
