SUMMARY:Going for Baroque
DESCRIPTION:Going for Baroque is a weekly series of mini-recitals at the Memorial Art Gallery. It is offered each Sunday at 1:30 pm and again at 3:00 pm. It offers the opportunity for students from the Eastman School of Music to perform alongside professional musicians on the Italian Baroque organ on the second floor of the museum. The 25-minute mini-recital is included with museum admission. \nOwned by the Eastman School of Music\, the fully restored Italian Baroque organ is the only full-size antique Italian organ in North America. The organ is the centerpiece of an installation that highlights more than 30 major Baroque-period paintings and sculptures.

After-care is available between 4:00 and 5:30 pm for an additional fee. \nRegistration Information\nRegistration for this program starts on Monday\, December 29\, at 10:00 am for MAG Members\, and Monday\, January 5\, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Friday\, August 14\, at 9:00 am. \nPrograms with inadequate enrollment are cancelled one week before the first meeting.
