SUMMARY:Sketchbook Cafe (6SU26)
DESCRIPTION:July 9–30\, 2026\n4 weeks\, Thursdays \nTaught by: Dejan Pejovich \nSketchbook drawing is largely about capturing a setting and a fleeting moment rather than a faithful recording. It is a way of keeping a travel diary that disappeared with the advent of the camera. Rather than taking a snapshot\, sketchbook drawing is an exercise in looking intensely. We will meet weekly in a public location in the Rochester area\, capturing the essence of that unique moment in time. Our drawing practice will focus on location\, perspective\, ambiance\, travel portraiture\, gesture\, and fleeting impressions. \nMaterials\nStudents need to purchase materials for this class. \nSee the materials lists for further information. \nRegistration Information\nRegistration for this program starts on Monday\, June 15\, at 10:00 am for MAG Members\, and Monday\, June 22\, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Tuesday\, July 7\, at 6:30 pm. \nPrograms with inadequate enrollment are canceled one week before the first meeting. We will attempt to contact you via email to find an alternative program or to refund your registration fee. \nLearn more about classes in the Creative Workshop\, including information about parking and the refund and cancellation policies.
