DESCRIPTION:Register\nJanuary 17–March 21\, 2026\n8 weeks\, Saturdays\, \nNo Classes: February 14 & 21 \nTaught by: Sara Blake \nChildren learn to use art materials as they express and explore\, through painting\, drawing\, and sculpture\, inspired by famous Impressionist artists\, including visits to the “Frontiers of Impressionism” show at MAG\, and the Monet paintings in our permanent collection. Each session includes several art activities\, along with short breaks for picture book readings and fun movement and stretching games. Materials will include paint\, ink\, glue\, watercolors\, tempera paints\, colorful tissue paper\, and more. \nMaterials\nAll materials provided. \nRegistration Information\nRegistration for this program starts on Monday\, December 8\, at 10:00 am for MAG Members\, and Monday\, December 15\, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Thursday\, January 15\, at 9:30 am. \nPrograms with inadequate enrollment are cancelled one week before the first meeting. Children will enjoy several short art activities each week\, with short breaks for picture book reading and fun movement and stretching games. Materials will include paint\, ink\, glue\, watercolors\, tempera paints\, colorful tissue paper\, and more. Projects will include textured collages\, color-mixing paintings\, cardboard playground sculptures\, bubble wrap printmaking\, pretend cake slices\, and more.
