Meleko Mokgosi: Pax Kaffraria
Saturday, February 18, 8–11 pm
Meleko Mokgosi (b. 1981, Botswana) makes figurative paintings that fit together to form “chapters” in large installations that suggest stories or narratives. This exhibition is the first time the chapters of Mokgosi’s project Pax Kaffraria are being exhibited together. The installation at MAG is a rare opportunity to be immersed in an all-consuming pictorial environment.

To further the celebration, Colin Gordon will perform in the Pavilion until 11 pm. Shine will play in the M&T Bank Ballroom until 11 PM, kick back and do crafts with Eddie Davis, Jr. in the Green Room creating “Silhouettes Revisited,” stop by for poetry reading in the MAG Auditorium and be sure to experience Roxanne Ziegler Harpist Group in the Fountain Court.
Free to MAG members, but reservations required. RSVP here.

In addition, you may call (585) 276-8939 during business hours or email memberperks@mag.rochester.edu.
