In this class, students will work on sculpting basic human anatomy. They will learn how to translate human form from two-dimensional reference images, as well as sculpting from life. In addition to assigned projects and skill-building exercises, students will be able to create self-directed projects, if desired, with instruction and critiques from the instructor.
Students will need to purchase clay for their use. Clay in different varieties is available at the Creative Workshop for $18.00 for a 25lb bag. Glazes and firing are included in the price of the class. Please bring an old kitchen-sized towel, you don’t mind getting dirty with you.
Registration for this program starts on Monday, August 18, at 10:00 am for MAG Members, and Monday, August 25, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Monday, October 6, at 6:00 pm.
Programs with inadequate enrollment are cancelled one week before the first meeting. We will attempt to contact you via email to find an alternative program or to refund your registration fee.
