Sari Gaby

Sari Gaby has been teaching drawing and painting for 30 years, including working here at the Creative Workshop during the 1990’s and 2000’s. She specializes in portraiture but loves still life and figure painting as well.
Sari studied with Daniel E. Greene, N.A.; Peter Berg, and several other remarkable mentors. Sari is also a members of MAG’s Visitor Services team, you might know her from the museum’s front desk.

Sari has been commissioned by Eastman School of Music, Strong Memorial Hospital, Xerox Corporation, and several other legal and medical affiliations where her portraits hang. She loves to work in all mediums, is known for pastel, but in her own creative process is immersed in rediscovering colored pencil at present.
Sari teaches all age groups both privately and in classrooms in the Rochester vicinity. She will teach adults primarily at the Creative Workshop, starting with Portrait Drawing in the Spring 2016 session. She tells us, “You must leave your comfort zone in order to learn! I will make that as enjoyable as possible. “
