Mary DelMastro at CW

Mary Delmastro has taught art history courses in the CW since 2011 and is a regular guest lecturer for the docent education program.

She earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. After working in the engineering field for a number of years, she pursued her interest in the Italian language and art history through the Syracuse University M.A. program in Renaissance Italian art. Mary has spent more than two years in Italy, both studying and leading a group of undergraduate students. As a result, her focus has been the Italian Renaissance and Baroque art. More recently, she has enjoyed researching the Dutch Baroque and Impressionism periods.

Mary is currently an assistant professor of art history at Finger Lakes Community College. Previously, she was a visiting assistant professor of art history at RIT and an adjunct instructor at Brockport. At the Memorial Art Gallery, she especially enjoys incorporating the permanent collection into her courses and learning from diverse and insightful students.
