Jeanne Lindsay with student

Jeanne Lindsay has taught watercolor at the Creative Workshop since 1984. Her students return year after year for her constructive critiques, helpful advice and warm instruction.

Jeanne earned her BA from Empire State College (SUNY) and also studied at Duke University and RIT. Her works has been selected for such national juried exhibits as the National Arts Club Exhibition, NYC; the Watercolor USA Annual, Springfield Art Museum, Springfield, MO; the Kentucky Watercolor Society, Frankfort, KY (Purchase Award); the Watercolor Society; and the Salmagundi Club (twice), NYC. She has received more than 100 honors and awards including membership in Watercolor USA Honor Society. Her work has been featured three times in American Artist magazine. In Rochester, she is represented by Nan Miller Gallery.

A former president and program chairman for the Rochester Art Club, Jeanne Lindsay has taught watercolor at the Memorial Art Gallery’s Creative Workshop for over 30 years. How many students do you think she has inspired and developed?

Lindsay has received more than 100 honors and awards of the highest standing for her botanical images, including membership in the Watercolor USA Honor Society.
