Jacob Dambra is a ceramic artist active in the Rochester arts community. He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2022 with a BFA in Ceramics. In his work Jacob combines his knowledge of a diverse range of materials with imagery of plants, animals, and common objects to tell stories. His work is deeply personal, hoping to share a piece of himself and connect with the viewer. His most recent work calls on the history of ceramics to discuss the nature and purpose of making.

Jacob has been involved in art education for many years before beginning to teach his own classes at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the beginning of 2023, joining the Creative Workshop later that spring. Throughout his career he has been mentored by many great educators and aims now to offer that same guidance to his students.
