Dejan Pejovic has taught sculpture and drawing classes at the Creative Workshop since 1994 and remembers taking Workshop classes as a child. He addresses students’ individual needs and potential, with a focus on modes of observation.

Dejan earned a BFA from York University in Toronto and also studied at RIT, City and Guilds Art School in London, the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, and in Rome. His work has been included in exhibitions at RIT’s Dyer Gallery; the Gallery’s Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition; the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn; Il Ramo D’Oro in Naples, Italy; and Art on Parade in Northglenn, CO. He has had solo exhibitions at Roberts Wesleyan College; Mercer Gallery, MCC; the Arts and Cultural Council; the Library and Gallery, Cambride, ONT; and the Old Forge Art Center. He has created bronze commissions for the University of Rochester, the City of Rochester, Frontier Field and the Country Club of Rochester.

Dejan owns and operates a ceramic shell bronze foundry specializing in art work and architectural casting. He believes in addressing a student’s individual needs and potential rather than teaching a universal method or technique. His life classes focus on modes of observation, and his sculpture classes are oriented to facilitate student projects within a given medium.
