Stacy tells us:

“Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to teach photography, drawing and painting at Military bases and now at the Memorial Art Gallery’s Creative Workshop. The thing that excites me about teaching is the opportunity to help artists build a solid art practice based on the principles of art and widely held general rules of art. Then watch as they use this information as a jumping off point into their own practice and manipulate rules to advance their own style and creative voice! A wise artist once told me, ‘if you don’t know the rules you won’t know which one you broke when you had your ah ha moment!’ Rule is a strong, inaccurate word, guideline is more appropriate. Teaching is a wonderful experience, as I get to not only help build the artistic practice of others, but share my love of art.”
