January 2011: Josephine Tota

In the Auditorium Corridor, see three works by Italian-born artist Josephine Tota, who studied with Fritz Trautmann at the Creative Workshop. Tota, who first took up painting in her fifties, used the exacting medium of egg tempera for works such as this 1987 self-portrait (shown in detail).
