On March 21, 2010, a sellout crowd celebrated the publication of the Memorial Art Gallery’s new book Breaking Ground: A Century of Craft Art in Western New York, edited by Barbara Lovenheim, Suzanne Ramljak and Paul J. Smith. More about the book

The afternoon included a panel discusson with Smith (director emeritus of the American Craft Museum) and five artists featured in the book—Robin Cass, Wendell Castle, Wayne Higby, Linda Sikora and Leonard Urso. “Craft Art: Looking Back, Looking Forward” was followed by a book signing.
