Dick Kane has taught painting at the Creative Workshop since 2000. His paintings and teaching style are well known for their energy and excitement.
Dick studied at RIT with Ralph Avery and others and has exhibited extensively. One of his commissions is at Barnes & Noble–Pittsford. He has been an active member of the Rochester Art Club, Manhattan Art Group and Tuesday Artists Breakfast Group. He serves as art advisor to the Town of Brighton.
Dick has taught painting for 35 years, with landscape closest to his heart. He encourages students to observe, see shapes and paint the whole. He works one-on-one with his students and delights as they show their own work in student and local shows, often with accolades.
