The Averell Council

The Averell Council

Averell CouncilJoin the Averell Council and make things happen in the arts.

Membership in the Averell Council will put you in touch with hundreds of young adults who share an enthusiasm for Rochester and the arts, and a commitment to support a wide range of cultural events.

Next meeting:

June 20th in the Bausch & Lomb Parlor at 6pm

(One hour informational meeting with group networking at Tapas following.) Through association with the Memorial Art Gallery, members will have the opportunity to invent, plan, sponsor, or just enjoy unique art-oriented events. Best of all, ideas for the events come from the members, and member volunteers make those ideas happen.

The Mission

To energize a younger audience (21-40) to become participants in the present and future of the Memorial Art Gallery.
There is a multitude of ways to get involved with the Averell Council. Here are 5:

Marketing Committee

Sharpen your communication skills. Promote the Averell Council and its events: concerts, scavenger hunts, networking events.

Membership

Keep us growing. Help develop ideas to attract new Averell Council members, and keep current members happy and involved with the Gallery.

Underwriting

Build support for the Averell Council. Reach out to the Rochester business community, fundraising in support of Averell Council programs and events.

Special Events

Keep us hopping. Develop new, fresh and different events to appeal to a broad range of Averell Council members.

Meet new friends and join us at whatever level you choose. Attend and enjoy, give a few hours of your time, or become an active volunteer.
