Ancient Egyptians believed that the rituals of mummification, funeral rites and burial would help them be reborn in the afterlife. Their eternal fate would be determined by tests and the judgment of the god Osiris. If the deceased passed all the tests, life in the underworld would continue much as life on earth. |
