Going for Baroque is a weekly series of mini-recitals. It features students from the Eastman School of Music performing on the Italian Baroque organ on the second floor of the museum.

  • Thursday, January 21: “Organ and Viol,” featuring Lorenzo and Vittorio Ghielmi of Italy; preceded by a 6:30 pm talk by Nancy Norwood, MAG curator of European art*
  • Thursday, February 18: “Adventurous Italians,” featuring Publick Musick with ESM professor Edoardo Bellotti (organ and harpsichord)
  • Thursday, March 17: “Sights and Sounds,” featuring ESM organists and the Eastman Sax Project
  • Thursday, April 21: recital by Franceso Cera of Italy (organ); offered as part of Pipedreams Live with radio personality Michael Barone; preceded by a 6:30 talk by Edoardo Bellotti, associate professor of organ, harpsichord and improvisation at the Eastman School of Music*
  • Thursday, May 19: “Organ and Body,” featuring Stephen Kennedy and Vanessa van Wormer
