Family/Community Days

Several times each year, the Memorial Art Gallery opens its doors and offers Rochester area families and community members the opportunity to learn more about specific cultures. These events for all ages feature hands-on art activities, music and dance demonstrations, storytelling, and a variety of cultural displays. Suggested donation $5 per family.

Black History Month Family Day

Sponsored by St. John Fisher College, with additional support from the Robert and Madeleine S. Heilbrunn Memorial Fund.

Asian Pacific American Heritage Family Day

Sunday, May 1, 2016, noon to 5 pm

Hispanic/Latino Heritage Family Day

Sunday, October 9, 2016, noon to 5 pm

Community Free Day

As a response to this summer’s tragic shootings on Genesee Street, the Memorial Art Gallery was open free of charge on Saturday, August 29, from 11 am to 5 pm. Instead of admission, MAG collected voluntary contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester.
