Spring House by Dale Klein

Dale is a printmaker and a painter who is interested in the post-industrial landscape of Upstate New York.

Although new to the Creative Workshop as a teacher, Dale’s association with the Workshop is long and deep. Courses she took as a child and then as an adult inspired her to become an artist after a career as a social worker.

Dale received a BS in studio art from Nazareth College in 2006 and an MFA from Rutgers in 2010. Her prints have been exhibited in many national juried shows and she had a two-person show at the Renaissance Art Gallery in Rochester in 2009. Her work is in several public collections including Syracuse University, Hunterdon Museum of Art and the Memorial Art Gallery.

Dale has been awarded residencies at Hambidge, the Millay Colony and the Vermont Studio Center and has taught printmaking at the Garfield Middle School in Revere, MA. Dale was selected to create Spring House (pictured), the Memorial Art Gallery’s 2012 patron print.
