A commercial artist for 15 years, Teri Barlis worked for Adam, Meldrum & Anderson Department Store and Jenss Department Store in Buffalo and for Sibley’s in Rochester. She also taught fashion illustration at Bryant & Stratton.
Teri graduated from the Art Institute in Pittsburgh and earned an MBA from RIT. She has also studied art at the University of Buffalo, SUNY College at Brockport, RIT and the MAG Creative Workshop. She is past president of the Penfield Art Association and is an active member of the Rochester Art Club, the Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters Association, and the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Association.
In her work, Teri paints watercolor landscapes and portraits. She strives for clean, crisp, clear colors and interesting compositions. Her work hangs in corporate collections and private collections and can be viewed at the RepARTee Gallery in the Penfield Art Center.
