Susan Sweet has been teaching painting at the Creative Workshop since 2005. She cultivates a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, with strong attention to individual needs, skill level and ideas. She has also taught painting at BOCES1 for 13 years.
Sue earned an AS degree in art history from Empire State and has three years of undergraduate study in fine art at Nazareth, She also studied in France with g. a. Sheller, at the Great Rivers Art Institute with Stuart Shils, and privately with Paxton Moffett.
Sue’s paintings have been exhibited by the Rochester Art Club, Western Wayne Art Group and the Ontario Art Club and have received several Best of Shows and numerous juror’s and merit awards. Her work has been represented by Roselawn Gallery, Pittsford; the Gallery on Main Street, Canandaigua; and Harbor View Gallery, Pultneyville.
