Children’s Art

Sarah GuarneraA teacher of art at all levels for more than 10 years, Sarah is currently a full-time tenured art teacher at West Irondequoit Central School District. She teaches 7th and 8th grade art students at Dake Jr. High School, where she is also the Art Club adviser. Sarah holds a MAT from Rhode Island School of Design with a focus in jewelry and metalsmithing. She also earned a BA in studio art from SUNY Geneseo, and spent a year studying jewelry, painting, and other areas of art in Florence, Italy.

Sarah has worked as Art Specialist at Camp Seneca Lake and also taught summer classes and art programs while living in Boston, MA.

She was awarded a Drawing and Metalsmithing Fellowship at Maine College of Art and was Artist of the Month for White Wire & Metal Products in January 2006.
