work by Robin WhitemanRobin graduated from RIT’s ceramics program in 1994 and has been teaching folks from age 3 to 83 ever since. She has a passion for creating safe, stimulating environments for people to play in, and has taught ceramics, fiber sculpture and creative exploration as both an instructor and artist in residence at area schools.

Robin’s fiber and clay sculpture has been collected throughout the United States, England and Australia, and continues to be shown locally and nationally. Her most recent solo show, Partly Tame, opened November 2010 in Rochester’s Gilded Square gallery and featured lifesize felted torsos.

Robin is a Clothesline Festival merit award winner and has created numerous tile murals for local schools as well as for the Golisano Children’s Hospital. Her smaller work can be seen at as well as MAG’s Gallery Store.
