Stained Glass
Monique Hunter
New to the Workshop!
Monique is brand new to The Memorial Art Gallery’s Creative Workshop faculty (as of Spring 2018) but certainly not new to the art of stained glass. Monique owns and operates Dancing Light Stained Glass Studio on the Erie Canal in the village of Fairport, NY. Her studio was founded in 2013, when Monique settled in Western NY after living in Trinidad, Canada and Baltimore. Monique’s travels, interests, and experiences greatly inspire her work.

Monique’s first career was as a teacher first to children and then later to adults. An artist at heart, and educator by profession, in 2016 Monique merged the two things she loves into one and expanded Dancing Light to include stained glass workshops in the community. She has taught students in her studio and at regional community centers around Rochester.

She is thrilled to share the art of stained glass with you.
