A veteran Art Day School teacher, Matt is a trained draftsman who has been drawing since his early childhood.
Matt will soon graduate from SUNY Brockport’s bachelor of fine arts program, with a concentration in sculpture and ceramics. His work was featured in the 2008 Best of SUNY student exhibition and chosen by the Business Association of the South Wedge Area for a permanent installation.
Matt is experienced in printmaking, painting, woodworking, metalwork including bronze casting, forging, and welding. His versatility and passion for art and artmaking are an important part of his teaching style. He emphasizes a creative, fun working environment which allows his students to develop and follow their own unique ideas while learning the fundamentals.
Matt’s most recent body of work was a focused installation of sculptures dealing directly with the problems of gun violence in our urban areas.
