Children’s Art (artist’s books)
Laura Jackett uses various techniques to produce her artworks including polaroid manipulation, alternative photographic processes, bookbinding, and computer manipulation. Generally, the imagery stems from a straight black and white negative or color slide manipulated to produce an original and unique image.
Jackett is an alumna of SUNY Geneseo and Buffalo State College and is presently working on her MFA in photography at RIT. She has taught at colleges including Broome, Cayuga, Genesee and Onondaga Community Colleges, and led workshops at such places as the Smithsonian Institution and George Eastman House.
She has won awards for her work internationally.
