Creative Workshop faculty member Judy GohringerJudy Gohringer Children’s Art, Painting New to the Creative Workshop! Judy was a Creative Workshop student as a child and now happily returns as a teacher. Judy graduated from Nazareth College with a BS in Art Education with minors in studio art and art history, and has continued with graduate studies at the U of R, Brockport and Nazareth College. She has worked at Gallery 696, Artworks at Sibleys and  the Gallery Store (where her work is for sale) and as a pre-press graphic artist. As an art teacher in the Rochester City Schools and before that in Webster Central Schools, Judy taught from the belief that art is for everyone and that every child can have success as a student artist and can enjoy the process too. Recently retired from the Rochester City Schools, Judy has been busy painting. She has recently shown and sold her work at the Artist Row show at the Rochester Public Market, earning two awards, and at Rochester Contemporary’s members show. Her work has been shown also at 2chicboutique, the Pat Rini Rohner Gallery and the Little Theater Café. Along with her sculptor husband, Judy has raised three children (who also took classes at the Creative Workshop!) Their camping trips in to the Canadian north woods have inspired much of her artwork.
