crowds at Clothesline

not your mother's clothesline!
Rochester’s largest and longest-running fine art and crafts festival is not your mother’s Clothesline! After 53 years, art is the still the main focus, but in recent years we’ve added activities for the whole family.

festival times
Saturday, September 12, 10 am to 6 pm
Sunday, September 13, 10 am to 5 pm

how to get here

parking/shuttle bus (pick up and drop off at Prince St. gate)
Park free and use the free, handicapped-accessible shuttle bus from East End garage at East Main and Scio streets, or from the Genesee Hospital garage on Alexander Street between East and Monroe avenues. Buses run approximately every 20 minutes from 9 am to 6:30 pm Saturday and from 9 am to 5:30 pm Sunday.

handicapped-accessible parking
Handicapped-accessible parking by permit only is available on the Gallery grounds. AGAIN THIS YEAR, all traffic must enter through the Prince Street gate. We are unable to offer any other public parking on the Gallery grounds.

2009 map of grounds
Over the past several years we've completely reorganized the grounds. Artist booths are now concentrated along the University and Goodman Street sides of the campus. Entertainment has returned to the front steps, near the baked good, snack and beverage tents, but you’ll still find the main sound stage, food court and covered seating out back.

pets, etc.
Out of consideration to other visitors, no pets (except service animals), bikes, skateboards or rollerblades will be allowed on the grounds.

weather or not
As always, organizers are hoping for sunny skies, but keep in mind that the M&T Bank Clothesline Festival will go on—rain or shine.
