Patrons will begin their evening at Max at the Gallery at a festive, four course, French-themed dinner (read the delicious details in the invitation below). Hosted by Douglas & Marcia Lowry and Grant Holcomb, the meal will be accompanied by music by one of The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra‘s first violinists, Jeremy Hill.
Guests attending the pre-performance reception in the Vanden Brul Pavilion will be greeted by French-speaking members of Nazareth College’s Alliance Francaise de Rochester, watch easel artist Lynette Blake, be astounded by members of PUSH Physical Theatre and enjoy the strains of Parisian-style accordion music with Rachel Bell.
The highlight of the evening will be the debut of a steamy two-act operetta, The Polite Abductress, composed by Douglas Lowry, the Joan and Martin Messinger Dean of the Eastman School of Music, performed by students and faculty at the school – surrounded by the stunning architectural beauty of the M&T Bank Ballroom. ACT I will feature an opening performance by select members of the Rochester City Ballet.
