Persian New Year Celebration

"Ode to Wine: A Program of Poetry, Art and Culture." Celebrate Now-ruz, the Persian New Year, and the start of spring. Our third annual event features a presentation on the origin of Now-ruz by RIT professors Shahin Monshipour and Robert Dunbar; a lecture and poetry recitation by Dr. Fatemeh Keshavarz of Roshan Center for Persian Studies and Dr. Emil Homerin of the University of Rochester; Persian dance performances by SUNY Geneseo's Dance Ensemble; live music performances by Omar Faruk and Murat Tekbilek; and guided tours in the Gallery.
